The ACP National Board consists of 12 directors elected by the membership. Each director is elected for a three-year term and may serve two consecutive terms. The Board has three executive officer positions: chairperson, secretary and treasurer. Officers are elected annually by the National Board. The elections for vacant board seats and officers occur each year by December 31.

Bonnie Canal is a recognized leader in community resilience innovations and strategies and is the founder and Managing Partner of The Resiliency Institute, LLC (TRI) a consulting firm that dedicated to the cause of resiliency. Bonnie understands that communities are the foundation of a strong and resilient nation and thus is dedicated to establishing resiliency as the foundation for prosperity and effectiveness.

Bonnie continues her resiliency consulting for businesses and non-profits while traveling the US engaging in the conversation at the community level.  She is a proud native of New Orleans and has worked in the field of Business Continuity for 5 years.   She currently serves as the President of the Southeast Louisiana Chapter of ACP and Corporate Board Member of ACP and is the project manager for the Greater New Orleans Resiliency Project.

Cheyene MarlingACP National Board Secretary

Cheyene Marling, Hon, MBCI

Cheyene Marling has been an executive recruiter since 1996 with over 20 years specializing in the business continuity profession. In 2000 she founded BC Management, Inc. a recruitment and data research firm specializing in business continuity.

Cheyene has become an integral part of the business continuity community previously serving on the boards of ACP's Los Angeles and Orange County chapters and currently an active professional on the Editorial Advisory Board for Continuity Insights. She was also the recipient of the inaugural ACP Hall of Fame award in 2006 and most recently she was awarded an honorary MBCI by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI).

Dr. Ed Goldberg, CBCP

Dr. Ed Goldberg is the Manager of BC, DR & Threat Assessment for Eversource Energy and a former member of the ACP National Board of Directors, where he served with distinction from 2009 to 2014. He has been with Eversource and its predecessor company, Northeast Utilities, since 2004. Ed is currently responsible for all Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning for Eversource corporate functions, as well as the former operating companies Connecticut Light and Power, Western Massachusetts Electric, NSTAR (gas and electric) Public Service of New Hampshire, all Transmission/CONVEX and Yankee Gas companies (all are called Eversource now). He is responsible for overall threat assessment processes.

Ed has expert level knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery, and his expertise also extends to corporate culture and a safety conscious work environment. Ed is also a specialist in management and leadership, change management and IT management.

Ed received his BSEE and MBA from the University of New Haven, his Post Graduate Certificate in Computer Communication Networks from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and his Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership, Business Administration and Management, from the University of Phoenix. Ed is a member of the ACP Connecticut Chapter.

Bret AdamsACP National Board Member

Bret Adams, MSA,CBCP, MCP

Bret is the Continuity of Operations Coordinator for the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). He has a varied background including personnel and project management, training design and instruction, accounting and finance, and records management, including both stateside and overseas. He is currently managing his agency’s continuity of operations program and has been involved in business continuity for eight years.

Bret has spoken at various events around the state including the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s Emergency Management Workshop, the Emergency Management Association of Texas Symposium, and the annual Texas Emergency Management Conference, and also served as an external evaluator during Eagle Horizon 2012.

He garnered a BBA from North Texas State University (now known as University of North Texas) and an MSA from Central Michigan University, and served active duty in the Air Force including during Operation Desert Storm.

Lissette Giorgi, CBCP

Lissette Giorgi is Vice President and Risk Manager of the Treasury Management Internet Risk & Compliance team, aligned under the Information Security Officer, in Wells Fargo's Wholesale Banking Services Group division. In addition to managing the business continuity and disaster recovery program for Treasury Management, Lissette leads the Cyber Strategies recovery initiative focusing on offering continued service to Wells Fargo’s corporate and commercial customers. Lissette presents at Treasury Management gatherings across the nation, teaching treasurers about continuity planning and providing recommendations and solutions to guide them towards recovering their critical treasury functions. She is also an active participant in the San Francisco Bay Area community, collaborating with other Bay Area agencies and associations to bring summits and conferences to the industry, with the ultimate goal of having resilient San Francisco Bay Area communities.

Lissette has been with Wells Fargo since 1989. She joined ACP in 2009, and is the current secretary of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and the secretary to ACP’s Presidents’ Council. Lissette received her CBCP in 2008 from Disaster Recovery Institute, International, and was recognized with the 2012 DRII Continuity Awareness Award of Excellence.

Susan Guinn, CBCP

Susan Guinn is a Vice President for Citigroup Technology Infrastructure, which provides technology infrastructure for approximately 80% of Citi businesses, including data centers, network, desktops and voice systems. Susan is a corporate disaster recovery specialist who has been with the Citigroup family of companies for over 25 years. Her current responsibilities at Citi include project management of Continuity of Business (CoB) exercises, Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management of the North American Data Centers. Susan is a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) as well as certified in ITIL Fundamentals.

Susan is in her third year as President of the ACP North Texas Chapter, where she has been a member since 2009. She has also served the Chapter as the Director of Programs and Director of Communications. Susan is also a member of the local chapter of InfraGard and a past officer of Coppell CERT (Community Emergency Response Team).

Susan graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Science.

Jancouskas BIOACP National Board Member

Bill Jancouskas

Bill Jancouskas has over twenty years' experience in the Business Continuity Profession serving in both public and private sectors. He has served in the U.S. Air Force and the Defense Finance Accounting Office (DFAS) establishing BC programs and wartime contingency plans; worked as consultant, and is currently employed at CenturyLink where he has established BC programs and policies, conducted DR exercises, and performed Risk and Business Impact Analysis'.

Bill has also served for seven years on the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) Certification Commission and has taught Emergency Management for Business at Red Rocks College. He is presently server on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Business Continuity and Emergency Planning. Bill has written a number of articles that have been published internally within all of the companies he has worked for; for the local ACP chapter, for National ACP and for the Journal of Business Continuity and Emergency Planning. Bill has served on the local ACP chapter, Rocky Mountain Chapter, as the Director of Publications and has the President. Bill holds a certification as a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP) from DRII and has a Bachelor's degree in Business from Columbia College.

Dr. Bernard A. Jones, MBCI, CBCP, CORP, ITIL

Bernard Jones is a certified business continuity professional with over 15 years of experience with the implementation of business continuity, disaster recovery, and emergency management planning programs. He is currently employed as manager of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and is also the owner/principal at B Jones BCP Consulting, LLC, targeting BC and EM planning for small businesses. He is enrolled at New Jersey City University completing the final requirements toward a DSc. Doctorate degree in organizational resilience.

Charles Jones

Charles Jones has served as Connecticut chapter President for the last 4 years, and has been active on the chapter board since its inception in November 2005. Charles is an exceptional critical thinker and a great leader. He is well-respected throughout the contingency planning community both across Connecticut and nationally, and has played a strong role in defining the chapter's character, helping to make it an extremely active, successful and large chapter.

He is fiscally conservative in his approach to ACP business. He is very well organized and applies his deep knowledge of project management (PMP certification and he has taught project management as well) to engaging people to get things done effectively and efficiently.

Ellen KuACP National Board Member

Ellen Ku

Ms. Ku is the Principal Business Continuity Planner at Noblis Inc. She has been a leader in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) line office since 2004. During her 10-year tenure with NOAA, she has led all levels of Continuity of Operations (COOP) activities including business impact analysis and identification of primary mission essential functions (PMEFs), COOP Plans and IT System Plans development, deployment and system testing at the field level, enforcement of contingency compliance, participation in national level exercises (Eagle Horizon 2008 – 2014), and tracking of NESDIS assets (personnel, mission and infrastructure) especially during the hurricane seasons.

Previously, Ms. Ku was a Business Continuity/Information Technology Professional with E*Trade Financial where she developed minimum IT configurations, acceptable recovery time objectives and alternate recovery site resumption procedures.

Ms. Ku has been an active member of the ACP-DC Chapter since 2001. She served as the DC Chapter Secretary from 2002 to 2003. She chaired the Chapter's Nominating Committee and provided oversight for the annual elections since 2005. At the national level, she recently joined Mr. George Huff in representing ACP in the Risk Assessment (RA) Standard Committee, a joint effort between ASIS International and Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. to develop an RA standard.

Ms. Ku received her degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Massachusetts, and she earned her Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification in 2004.

Scott Ream

Scott Ream is the President of Virtual Corporation, and a business continuity pioneer, leader, author & strategist. With over 30 years in IT support, business process design & consulting services, he has leveraged his experience in the design of Virtual Corporation’s innovative products & services. His vision is that prudent, practical continuity preparedness can be cost effectively achieved & sustained. Scott has written many articles on continuity & frequently speaks at conferences. Scott has a BAS in electrical engineering & entrepreneurial business development from the University of Pennsylvania; a combined undergraduate degree from the Moore School of Electrical Engineering & the Wharton School of Business.

Barbara Shaw

Barbara A. Shaw, CBCP, MBCI has been a member of the Liberty Valley (Philadelphia) Chapter of the ACP since 2004. Barb was Director of Programs from 2005 – 2007 and was recognized for her service to the Chapter as the recipient of the 2006 Most Valuable Player Award. Barb joined the Liberty Valley Chapter Executive Committee in 2012 to serve as Chapter Secretary. In 2013, Barb was elected Chapter President and currently serves the membership in that role today.

Ms. Shaw is a Global Business Continuity Senior Manager for Vanguard, a leading provider of comprehensive investment management services headquartered in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Ms. Shaw is responsible for enterprise-wide support of the development, implementation, maintenance and exercising of business contingency plans for all Vanguard functional business areas. She also serves as Vanguard's Corporate Contingency Senior Manager, leading the execution of crisis management response and communications for U.S. operations. Barb has been a member of the Vanguard team for over 31 years.

She has held various line management and business leadership positions in the Retail Investor Group, Institutional Investor Group and Planning & Development Divisions. Barb earned the CBCP designation from DRI International in 2003 and MBCI certification from the Business Continuity Institute in 2014. She is an advocate and active member of several professional and community organizations including the Southeastern PA Regional Task Force, Chester County Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Advisory Committee and Chester County FIRST – a regional private/public partnership council.
