Greater Tampa Bay Chapter: Gail Moraton
Gail has been a constant on the Board for over 10 years and continues to be a major contributor to the success of our chapter. She works tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver value to our members with a concierge touch and patient persistence. Gail has been the face of our chapter during the pandemic by hosting all the chapter's webinars, researching BC/DR news and opportunities that may be of interest to our members, actively managing our LinkedIn page, and has been involved in planning our chapter events. She even stepped in to fill a vacancy for Treasurer last year in addition to her Director of Membership responsibilities. We are extremely lucky to have someone that gives so selflessly to the organization, this Chapter, and our members.

Businesses depend on critical 3rd party providers and supply chains for products and services that, if disrupted, could negatively impact customers and clients.  This could be in the form of financial losses, but it could also have contractual, reputation, and customer retention implications.  Over the past 18+ months since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve learned some valuable lessons along the way that we can share with other practitioners.  Business Continuity professionals need to be actively engaged and integrated into the supply chain risk processes and procedures.  Join presenter and Liberty Valley Chapter ACP member Michael Harding for an in-depth discussion.
Presented by: Michael Harding
Senior Manager, Protiviti;
Director of Education and Seminars,
ACP Liberty Valley Chapter

Michael is a Senior Manager at Protiviti, a global business consulting firm, within the Information Technology Consulting practice and has 18-years of experience in Business Continuity Management (BCM), IT Disaster Recovery (DR), Incident Response & Crisis Management (CM), Governance and Program & Project Management.  Michael’s experience includes extensive global multi-cultural awareness and training with experience in Asia-Pac, EMEA, and Latin America.  Prior to joining Protiviti, Michael was BCM Program Lead and was responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring global BCM activities across various companies that included Fleet Management, Manufacturing, Insurance and Dealership Operations.

Most people are familiar with the taxonomy of species. This process classifies animals to organize and understand how they are different and alike. For over a decade, this is also how humans have explored the world of data. The more research conducted into emerging markets, the bigger the reliance on a classification system to understand how users can access the public data collected on a daily basis. This system is simply the Taxonomy of Data.

A new report from Singapore-based Group-IB, a leading cybersecurity research firm, outlines a new and quickly growing segment of fraud scams: so-called “targeted links.”

This new approach blends elements of digital marketing, such as targeted advertising and participation in legitimate well-known ad networks, with more typical phishing and spoofing approaches. It has become particularly common for threat actors using this approach to pose as popular brands and use surveys (with the promise of a reward at the end) to harvest a variety of sensitive personal and financial information.
