ACP Greater Boston is happy to announce that Peter Gaynor will be the keynote speaker for their first meeting of 2023. This meeting's focus is to celebrate our long-term members as well as those who joined the chapter in the last year. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 26th from 4-6pm. Location TBD

Peter Gaynor is an American Certified Emergency Manager [en.wikipedia.org] who served briefly as acting Secretary of Homeland Security [en.wikipedia.org] under President Trump. Gaynor previously served as administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency [en.wikipedia.org] (FEMA). He was appointed as Acting Administrator by President Donald Trump [en.wikipedia.org] on March 8, 2019, and became Administrator on January 16, 2020.
Gaynor assumed the role of Acting Secretary of Homeland Security [en.wikipedia.org] on January 12, 2021, upon the resignation of Chad Wolf [en.wikipedia.org]. Gaynor was succeeded as Acting DHS Secretary by David Pekoske [en.wikipedia.org] on January 20, 2021, after President Biden's [en.wikipedia.org] inauguration.
