The Northern California Chapter of the Association of Continuity Professionals welcomes you!
As we close out 2025, we’re proud to reflect on a year defined by growth, collaboration, and strengthened community impact across the resilience and continuity profession.
This year, we officially transitioned from the SF Bay Area Chapter to the ACP Northern California Chapter, broadening our regional footprint and welcoming professionals from across the Northern California resilience community.
We also expanded our industry partnerships, including deeper collaboration with the Silicon Valley Security Group (SVSG) — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on education, professional development, innovation, and community support within the security and resilience fields. Partnerships like these enhance shared learning and strengthen our collective impact.
We are pleased to announce our 2026 leadership team:
President: Lissette Carrillo
Secretary: Karen Lowham
Treasurer: Elizabeth Carter Ward
Director of Membership, Comms & Outreach: Ray Bonilla
Director of Programs & Education: Kate Shimshock
Director of Technology: Nicole Lofgren
Thank you to our incoming board for their commitment to serving the chapter and advancing our mission.
We invite members to serve on one of our chapter committees:
• Membership Committee
• Communications & Social Media Committee
• Programs Committee
• Program Outreach & Sponsorship Committee
To express interest, please contact us at sfacpchapter@gmail.com.
Congratulations to this year’s MVP Award recipient: Karen Lowham – Honored for exceptional dedication, stepping into expanded roles and supporting chapter continuity throughout 2025
Thank you, Karen, for your exceptional dedication and service!
Instead of a year-end event, we will host a 2026 Kick-Off Celebration in January or February. More information will be shared shortly.
Thank you to all our members, partners, and volunteers for contributing to a successful and inspiring year. We look forward to continuing our mission of strengthening the resilience profession across Northern California.
