NOTE: Please note the date change for this event from 2/14 to 2/7. This will be a hybrid event held both virtually and in-person. The registration deadline for in-person option is this Thursday 2/2 at Noon. The virtual deadline is Tuesday 2/7 at 10am.
Synopsis: Are you tired of going it alone? Do you have unanswered questions and feel stuck in your career? Do you wish there was some way to give back to others in our profession? If so, mentoring or being mentored is probably right for you. Let’s face it, we all need help sometimes and we all have something of value to share. Whether you feel intimidated asking someone for help or you feel your experience isn’t valuable, there is someone out there for you and all it takes is a little time and focus to make lasting, valuable, professional relationships.
Please join the Greater Houston Chapter of the ACP for a presentation on professional mentoring by James Mitchell, ACP National Board Member and long-time resilience practitioner. Note that James is also recording a podcast with KingsBridge BCP on the topic of professional mentoring that should release in February 2023.
We encourage you all to come out and network with your fellow practitioners. We will be providing lunch to those who join us at the Weatherford International offices (2000 St. James Place, 77056). There is also a virtual option for those unable to join in person (connection details will be provided via email closer to the scheduled event.)
About our Speaker: James Mitchell is a long time ACP member having served in various board positions within the Greater Houston Chapter and now serves as a member of the National Board. He has extensive resilience experience across the financial services, healthcare and energy sectors as well as experience within information technology.
